2012 Pilot Scholarship Applications Now Available 

The Regional Aviation Association of Australia (RAAA) and Ansett Aviation Training are pleased to invite applications for the Ansett Aviation Training Pilot Scholarships for 2012.

Funded by Ansett Aviation Training it is intended that two (2) scholarships will be awarded as encouragement to the continuing education of promising pilots. The scholarship winners will together undergo a complete endorsement on either the Beechcraft Super Kingair B200 or Fairchild Metroliner III/23 aircraft type. The total cost of endorsement courses will be covered by Ansett Aviation Training. Either course will take twelve (12) working days and at the successful completion of the course and simulator training the recipients will complete a final check ride to confirm they have reached the required standard. Included in the endorsement are 3 takeoff and landings in an aircraft to complete the type rating. Ansett Aviation Training and/or the RAAA are not responsible or liable for any accommodation and/or travel costs required by the scholarship winners, however, Ansett Aviation Training can advise of cost effective options.

Application for the Ansett Aviation Training Pilots Scholarship for 2012 is open to pilots who are Australian Citizens and:

• who have completed or are just about to complete their CPL, have their instrumentrating, and
• are associated with a member of the RAAA, either through their employment or pilottraining organisation, or to Ansett Aviation Training either through their employer ortraining organisation.

The selection criteria for the Ansett Aviation Training Scholarship include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Academic attainment and willingness to progress as a pilot
• Course attendance and demonstration of high levels of airmanship
• Progress in, plus contribution to aviation and the work place
• Special awards or achievements
• The benefits offered by receiving scholarship assistance

All applications will be judged by a panel comprising senior members of the RAAA and Ansett Aviation Training. The decision of the judges is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

Applicants should complete the following Application Form, attaching extra pages if required.

You may attach any additional or special information which you feel may support your application, including copies of any references and special awards, your Curriculum Vitae, school reports or certificates.

Applications should be completed using the attached Application Form, and must be mailed to the address below to ensure receipt by 31 July 2012.
